Brahmari Breath (Bee/Humming Breath) ~
1) Sitting in a comfortable position.
2) Inhale deeply and then exhale as slowly as possible whist making a hum sound with the mouth closed (like a bee).
3) Inhale again and repeat.
You can also do this with the traditional hand mudra too – with the thumbs closing the ears, the first two fingers over the eyes, and the last two fingers above the below the lips keeping them closed. Helps the yogi to go deep within and shut off from external influences.
A great breath to do to cheer the whole being (we rarely hum when we are sad, so this can make us more cheerful!)
Do this for 10 – 15mins.
