Arthritis (from Greek arthro-, joint + -itis, inflammation; plural: arthritides) is a group of conditions involving damage to the joints of the body. (

A common complaint and one which I come across a lot in my work, is arthritis – referring to a number of inflammatory conditions that can cause pain, stiffness and swelling, usually around the joints. For example, Osteoarthritis (being the most common), rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.
