Physical ailments can improve with Hypnotherapy. Two Swedish studies found Hypnotherapy can be a great help for the Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The most recent study was carried out by researchers at the University of Gothenburg and a previous one with similar results was published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.
The Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a condition responsible for causing stomach cramps, bloating, constipation and diarrhoea and is currently one of the most common digestive disorders today, between 10 and 20 per cent of individuals experience IBS at some point during their lives.

Both studies found that one hour of hypnotherapy during twelve weeks alleviated the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome by 40%.

One of the studies also discovered that the people who kept using the techniques taught to them found that it continued helping them for up to seven years after.

It is wrong to think the mind and body are separate entities because in reality, together, they are one whole, with the one impacting the other. Hypnotherapy has repeatedly shown that it can improve not just emotional issues but can aid in ameliorating physical conditions. This is done by training the mind to take control of how the body functions.
